Here’s a big shout out and thank you to all of the folks at Nashua, Swaziland Sugar Association and Tambankulu Estates. Registering in mid-September, they make up our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place Corporate Teams, respectively.

Nashua will be sending 1 team, while both SSA and Tambankulu will be sending 2 teams. We couldn’t do it without you…

Sponsors, we’re talking to you! A mountain-sized THANK YOU to all of our sponsors that are helping to make Brave the Breast a success. With help like yours, we can make the day more comfortable and enjoyable for all who participate.

More importantly, having sponsors like yourselves help with event costs means that nearly every Emalangeni of participants’ entry fees becomes a direct donation to breast cancer fundraising. With the help of the Swaziland Breast Cancer Network,  many women’s (and men’s) lives can potentially be saved from this horrible disease.

Brave the Breast together- sign up your Corporate Team today!

8 Sep

Are you looking for a fantastic challenge for your company or organization to complete as a team? Need some time out of the office and into some seriously beautiful nature? Did you survive Sibebe and come searching for your next excursion for a great cause? Then look no further. Brave the Breast 2011 promises to be the perfect chance for your team to work towards a challenging yet exciting goal in the picturesque Ezulwini Valley, all whilst helping an important charity- the Swaziland Breast Cancer Network.

In addition to the most important aspect of sending a team from your company or organization- raising money for the Network- there are several ‘extras’ all corporate teams can expect. These include recognition through a ‘Corporate Teams’ posting on both the event website and Facebook page, announcement in a ‘Corporate Teams’ newspaper article, and announcement on the day of the event.

The earlier your team registers the more recognition your company or organization will receive. We are looking forward to plenty of corporate participation, but plan to make a lot of noise about those teams who register early. Do you want to receive wide spread attention about your team participating? Then don’t delay, register today!

The 1st Corporate Team to actually register will receive all of the benefits listed above, plus special recognition. This will be in the form of event website and Facebook page postings dedicated specifically to their company or organization, a dedicated newspaper article, and a special announcement on the day of the event.

The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Corporate Teams to actually register will receive all of the general benefits plus special recognition as well. This will be in the form of event website and Facebook page postings dedicated specifically to those three teams, a dedicated newspaper article for those three teams, and a special announcement on the day of the event.

A Corporate Team is made up of 10 persons. The donation fee for one team’s entry is E1000. From there, it is an additional E100 per person. If your company or organization has less than 10 people to send to Brave the Breast, yet still wants the extra perks offered only to Corporate Teams, you may register a team provided you offer the E1000 minimum donation. To register your team today, click here.

Special note for any Corporate Team with 50+ participants:

Any company or organization who registers a team with at least 50 participants will be afforded a private, on-site registration at their place of business. They will also receive special recognition on the event website, Facebook page, in the newspaper, and on the day of the event.

Did you survive Sibebe? Now you can Brave the Breast!

9 Aug

A remarkable 3,200-plus participants were in attendance for this year’s Sibebe Survivor, making it one of the biggest charity events of the year. Besides being for several wonderful causes, it was also a chance for people to get out in nature and challenge themselves a bit. What’s better than helping others and keeping fit at the same time? We can’t think of much, which is why we are so excited to present Brave the Breast 2011! We look forward to watching the event grow bigger and bigger each year, including 2011.

This year’s event will be held on the 8th of October, during the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With the date a couple months past Sibebe Survivor, it’s a great way for those who participated to keep their fitness level up, as well as a fun challenge for those who are starting fresh. Since there is both a 5km Fun Walk and a 10km Challenge Hike, participants can choose their level of activity. So no fear to those of you already shaking at the sign of a mountain…though we do of course encourage everyone to give it a shot and Brave the Breast!
